Potential causes:
i. HDD problem
ii. NTLDR file missing
iii. Corrupt boot record or master boot record.
Solutions: Use recover console options for HDD problem.
i. Enter into the BIOS setting
ii. Choose CD as fisrt boot device
iii. Insert window XP CD
in CD dirve.
iv. Press any key to start from CD
v. Press R for recover console option.
vi. Type administrator password ( if any) and press enter key.
vii. Choose one (if window in C drive) or choose 2(if window in D
dirve)
viii. Then you will get C:/window>
ix. Type CHKDSK to check and repair disk
x. Type EXIT to exit from recover console.
xi. Now, choose hard disk and as a fisrt boot device from BIOS setting.
For NTLDR file missing or boot record or master boot record
corruption problem,
-tyep FIXMBR or FIXBOOT in the C:/window>prompt.
-type EXIT to exit from recover console.
